About the As For Me & My Crazies

And as for me and my crazies,
we will serve the Lord.

My mission in this business is to give your walls a voice. Earlier this spring, I asked my husband "if our walls could talk, what do you think they would say?" We talked about funny things and encouraging things, and as I talked about how I really would want them to say something that connected us back to our faith, my kids started going bonkers. Just totally nuts. Chasing and throwing and pulling and giggling and asking for all the things... And it was right then that this phrase came to me: "And as for me and my crazies, we will serve the Lord."

It's a riff off of the popular verse from Joshua – 24:15:

"But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household,

I updated the "household"/"family" to "crazies," because that just felt right. I changed the "But" to "And," because in this case, it felt more inclusive. As if to say – I'm part of a community of people who are all choosing daily who we will serve – the Lord!

I hope when you see this print, it brings a smile to your face and warms your heart. Simple and unexpected, this print is sure to be a new favorite piece (and conversation starter!) in your home!
