Darlings Christmas Lullabye

Fold your hands, my darlings,
as we tuck you in so tight.
And as we snuggle let's remember
our King that first Christmas Night.

No castle for this baby –
in a manger He would sleep.
God's promised, treasured gift to us,
lying there among the sheep.

Our bold and Mighty Savior,
He is humble and He is brave.
And we are so very grateful
for our lives He came to save.

I wrote this little lullaby last year, because I wanted to create a piece that honored Jesus as a baby, but also proclaimed that He is not just a sweet babe in a manger. He is bold, mighty, brave and humble – even from his very first moments on Earth. What a God we celebrate!
