At a time when I was having a hard time understanding the gentleness of God, Aslan became a symbol to me of how God can be so powerful, but also gentle and loving. I distinctly remember the scene with he and Lucy in the woods, and I often pictured my daughter Eva in Lucy's place. I hope this Lion helps you in your faith journey as the idea of Aslan did in mine.
p.s. the baby's breath in his mane is an homage to someone who is near and dear to the LL family... you know who you are. The story of your family has marked us forever.
