Introducing: Golden Hour On the Coast
When it was time to create some new artwork for fall, I'd start to paint but all I felt like painting was water. Pretty much all the time, but mostly whenever I am feeling any sort of overwhelm or stress, I can feel my body calling me to the water. And when I can't get there, I enjoy the pool and I paint. Painting water-inspired things is one of my (maybe my actual) very favorite things to paint, and that is pretty obvious by the expansive coastal collection. Which is great! But you can probably imagine Laura's confusion when she was expecting beautiful fall paintings and I sent her photos of water. She was like "ummmm?".... but I told her I'd been so inspired by Magnolia Network's Beach Cottage Bungalows show (have you seen it? LOVE!!!) and was feeling interested in the pacific northwest and Maine.
So between my yearning for the water and representing some places I haven't explored yet, plus Laura's ever-beautiful art direction, I am so excited to share this lovely "fall" collection with you! So light a cozy candle, grab a snuggly blanket, and let this collection transport you to a place where the leaves are turning, there's life to explore, the light is hanging low in the sky despite the lingering warmth, and there's plenty of fresh oysters for all who partake. This is Golden Hour.
