Mercantile Manifesto
At Lindsay Letters, we've always believed that art is more than decoration.
A meaningful piece of artwork has the ability to change the feeling of a room. It tells a story, creates calm, sparks conversation, and quietly reminds us of what matters most.
But over the years, I've realized something else.
A beautiful home isn't created one decorative object at a time. It's created by thoughtfully layering a space with pieces that work together—pieces that are useful, beautiful, well-made, and chosen with intention.
Because the truth is, we don't experience our homes with just our eyes. We experience them with all of our senses.
The warmth of a favorite mug.
The glow of a candle at the end of the day.
The texture of a linen napkin or a cozy throw.
Flowers on the table.
A familiar scent that instantly makes a house feel like home.
These are the quiet details that become the backdrop to ordinary life. The Lindsay Letters Mercantile was born from that belief.
Rather than filling your home with more things, I wanted to curate fewer, better ones—pieces that are timeless instead of trendy, useful instead of disposable, and thoughtfully made to be enjoyed for years to come.
Every item is chosen to complement our artwork, creating homes that feel layered rather than decorated, collected rather than cluttered.
Just as importantly, nearly every product you'll find here comes from women-owned or co-owned American small businesses whose craftsmanship I genuinely admire. It's an honor to share their work alongside my own.
My hope has never been simply to help you decorate your walls.
It's to help you create a home that feels peaceful, welcoming, and deeply lived in—a place that restores you after long days and reminds you that beauty still matters.
Not beauty for beauty's sake. A way to honor yourself after spending all day pouring into the people you love. A quiet reminder that your soul needs tending, too. That slowing down, lighting the candle, making a cup of tea, hanging meaningful art, or setting the table with things you love isn't frivolous—it helps create a home that restores you.
Because I believe home has the power to shape how we feel, and caring for your home can be one small way of caring for yourself.
Thank you for inviting Lindsay Letters into your home.
I don't take that privilege lightly.
xo, Lindsay
