Growing up, I used to love going to The Stockholm Inn in Rockford, Illinois. Home of the BEST Swedish Pancakes you've ever had in your life! I'm mostly Swedish and Norwegian, and grew up with so many knick knacks that were reminders of our ancestry – dala horses, rosemaling, little plaques with small motifs... It makes me feel at home just thinking about it. This paining of pine trees with intentionally flocked branches is my homage to that heritage. I love the beautiful simplicity of Scandi culture, and hope this picturesque print makes your heart happy, too.
