About this piece
For the abstract’s in this 2020's Holiday Home Collection, I wanted to try to evoke cozy winter textures... In the winter, I just love layers of chunky knit blankets, soft (faux) fur pillows, pretty rugs, sherpa pullovers... all the soft things! For these paintings, I layered acrylic, watercolor, and oil pastels to try to channel that layered goodness. This piece has a cool juxtaposition of pastel chalky blue with wine, chocolate, and black.
