About this piece
My good friend Melissa was the inspiration for this piece. She's full of love and energy and wonder, and has found so much peace in her life recently from hiking. She is inspired by nature, and hikes/walks/runs in trails and through trees and on of the beaten path paths. I haven't ever gone with her, but I picture Melissa feeling at peace in a place like this. Under a canopy of trees, away from the world and its demands. I hear the gravel under her feet and I can imagine the fresh air and I'm thankful for a life where we can find so many places of beauty if we look for it. Granted, some days are harder than others. Some days, we're not ready to look. But that's one of the beautiful things about it, much of it is not going anywhere. Take your time. There are beautiful places, not even far from you, I'm sure, that are ready for you to discover when you feel ready to find your own Hidden Path, or whatever that might be for you.
