Angelic Anticipation
Angelic Anticipation
Description
I picture this angel kind of high on precipice, or somewhere in heaven, looking down as Mary and Joseph are making their way to Bethlehem. Her hands are up to her face in anticipation – anxiously and excitedly watching, waiting, willing them safely on their journey with every step. While other angels worship and rejoice, for this angel, she can't tear away or keep her eyes off of Earth. I imagine that she has her heart and eyes set on something here, and she simply won't look away. I love the intent feeling I see when I look at her, and it helps me in some way to know that we are being watched, anticipated, prayed for, and lifted up.
