Here's all you need to know about purchasing an original!
Unlike our reproductions, these paintings and drawings are created on flat, canvas board or illustration board. This is so they are easy to scan in for reproduction!
(If you purchase one of our traditional Canvases, those are stretched, gallery wrapped canvas that are 1.5" thick).
No, these original artworks do not come framed. However, we are happy to frame it for you in Lindsay's favorite Plein Aire frame for an additional cost. Order framing here: Plein Aire Gold Frame.
Your unframed original artwork will ship the first week of November. Kindly allow extra time if you are having us frame your new artwork! Contact us if you have a specific timing deadline and we will work with you towards that goal.
Yes and no. What you are seeing in the images above is the exact painting you will receive, however:
• The color on your monitor most certainly will look different than that of a canvas print. (Technically, that's because screens display colors by emitting light. Conversely, printed materials rely on the reflection of light from the printed ink, which makes colors print darker and less saturated than they appear on screens). Additionally, the lighting in the styled photographs can change the appearance of the art slightly (as it will in your space).
• Lighting has a lot to do with how the color looks in a photo. Our phots are taken in studio and natural light.
Kindly note: Your original artwork may include subtle marks, small scratches, or natural irregularities. These slight imperfections are part of the beauty of owning an original piece and add to the unique character of each work.
