This was actually the first painting I created for the Wellspring Collection, and it was the perfect foundation for the collection! I used my typical acrylic paint, but added dimension to it using tissue paper for a layered, mixed-media vibe. I love the contrast between the geometric blocks of color and the whispy white paint. Another working title for this piece was something about a fern, but I went with "Secret Garden" because I thought the colors were playful and the botanical elements reminded me of what could cascade over a hidden entrance to a magical clearing. I'm having all the lovely feels just thinking about such a place!
