About this piece
I created Story as a landscape painting inspired by my best friend, Ashley. Ashley's most favorite thing about people are their stories. She loves it –– the when, where, how, and why of what makes people who they are... and she places a huge value on the telling of stories – our stories, and how they can connect us and teach us. Ashley decorates in mostly neutrals, but I wanted to add some fun pops of natural tones (made with oil pastels) for a bit of fun while still being mostly black and white. Story would look great large or small, hung over a sofa or bed or leaned gently on a table. (Unframed for that latter option!)
